Using Student Feedback to Analyze the Characteristics of Presence in Classroom Settings Based on the Community of Inquiry Framework

The community-of-inquiry (CoI) framework on presence points out the direction for effective teaching of teachers. Feedback plays an important role during process in promotion and learning. A total 476 pieces feedback text, including 1695 short sentences, were collected from 13 classes a Modern Educational Technology course, then they coded analyzed basis cognitive, teaching, social, emotional dimensions. It was found that CoI theory is also suitable classroom settings, situations where all presences exist. Among them, most common, followed by cognitive presences, while social least common. result may help teachers to optimize course design implementation enhancing presence, improving learning experiences, promoting high-quality Moreover, research results provide references studying data-based precision teaching.
